Asian
monoethylene glycol import prices fell May 26 on weak demand due to a seasonal
lull. MEG has nominated its MEG Asia contract price at $840/mt CFR Asia for
June, stable from May, a company source said. Shell has nominated its Asia
contract price for MEG at $850/mt CFR Asia for June, stable from May, a source
close to the company said. A Shell representative declined to comment when
contacted. The July ICE Brent crude oil futures contract was down $1.35/b on
the day at $ 76.410/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) May 26. In Southeast
Asia , prices were down due to weak demand. End users were afraid to buy goods,
