Brazil PP : Homopolymer Prices Fall Slightly as Freight Regains Force / PP Copolymer remains flat this week / Market awaits import tariffs decision

In the week ending August 28, prices for imports of polypropylene to Brazil decreased for homopolymer and remained flat for copolymer, despite similar fundamentals and different offer levels. This was due to rising freight rates from Asia to Latin America. In the week ending August 28, homopolymer injection grade prices were $10 lower, while copolymer grades remained flat. "I imagine that freight from Asia to Brazil will remain stable. Middle East prices are trying to match China's, but China is still cheaper. A trader stated that the quality of products from China can be different than the rest.
