On May 3, Asian MTBE FOB Singapore was down $20.13/mt from the previous day to $917.87/mt. The MTBE FOB Singapore Factor was also down at 1.139, down from 1.155 on the previous day. The fall in Asian MTBE was aided during the Market on Close assessment on May 3 by offers from BP Singapore. BP Singapore made two offers for 2,000 mt or 3,000 mt of cargoes that would be loading between 30 May and 3 June FOB Straits, during the MOC assessment process on 3 May. The final assessment of May 30-June 3 loading cargo, at $918/mt FOB Straits, was lower than the offer price.
