The June contract's value was $1,024/mt. This is up $11.50/mt from the previous day. Downstream, a trading expected that fundamentals would improve for downstream derivatives within the next few months. The trader stated that "Acetone margins are quite good - this is evident in the good MMA price now -- so phenol producers will be encouraged to increase operating rates."
