Asian Benzene: Prices fall $3.34/mt tracking upstream weakness / MOC trade for Aug at $1,033/mt FOB Korea / Downstream producers face margin pressure amid firmer benzene

The Asian benzene price fell by $3.34/mt to $1,044.33/mt, FOB Korea, on June 14. Upstream, the front month ICE Brent futures dropped 33 cents/bon to $82.18/b. The naphtha C+FJapanmarker fell $3/mt in one day to $675.5/mt. In the morning session, an agreement for a September cargo FOB Korea was signed at $1,016/mt. A trade for August was heard between Hengli and TotalEnergies at the same level during the Market on Close process. Subsequently, an offer for August at the same level stood untilthe close, and the August laycans were assessed at $1,032/mt,below the last standing offer.In Taiwan, premiums for CFR Taiwan cargoes were hearddiscussed at levels similar to the last closed CPC buyer tender,which was heard done at premiums of $38-$39/mt against theJuly weekly Mean of base price (wMOPK) for...
