Asian Benzene: Weaker amid lower naphtha / November supply abundant: traders / Taiwan's CPC is seeking cargoes arriving in December

Amid bearish signals on upstream markets, Asian benzene closed lower for the session. The FOB Korea was assessed at $888.33/mt. As of the Asian closing, Brent futures fell $1.68/b, to $74.35/b, and the C+F Japan Naphtha contract fell $10.87/mt, or $10.87/mt, on the trading session. The afternoon session saw a relatively low level of activity on the benzene market, with only a few bids and offers being heard. Discussions in the FOB Korea physical market primarily focused on cargoes for December loading. The last bid and offer before the Asian close were $889/mt & $895/mt respectively. Market sources reported that cargoes of Indian origin were heading to China and the Middle East. Sources said that it could also be due to closed arbitrage from India to Europe and the US....
