The day's benzene price fluctuated, following the changes in crude oil prices upstream. Crude oil futures surged over 3% during early morning Asian trading April 19 after Israel launched an attack on Iran. Crude oil then fell and pared early gains in mid-afternoon Asian trading April 19, as investors assessed the impact of Israel's response to Iran and the possibility of supply disruptions should violence escalate. Price discussions for benzene were also heard retreating, tracking movements in crude oil values throughout the day.
