Asian Benzene: Prices trade rangebound amidmarket stability / Upstream naphtha increases $2/mt in a single day / Market quieter due to holidays

In the morning, two trades were heard to have been concluded for August-laycan shipments. The price discussions were muted during the afternoon but became more active when the Market on Close process was assessed. The MOC was a flurry of bids, offers, and trades. Two trades for August-laycans were concluded between Total Energies Singapore and Gunvor Singapore. Some attributed this stability to the upcoming Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. The C+F Japanmarker was up $2/mt on a day-to-day basis at $650/mt. The downstream styrene Monomer market saw a steady price for the second day in a row. The CFR China and FOB Koreamarkers for styrene were $1,163/mt respectively and $1,153/mt on June 7. Both marks are up $6/mt compared to the previous day.
