Asian Benzene: Prices rangebound amid stable market discussions / Market fundamentals show little change / Asia benzene markets likely to remain stable

The price of Asian benzene rose by $1/mt in one day. The FOB Korea marker was $905.33/mt as of Dec. 13. Benzene prices were discussed throughout the day. Prices were stable and relatively low-volatility. During the Market on Close process, TotalEnergies received bids from BP SG and a 3,000 mt shipment with laycans for February and March. TotalEnergies purchased BP SG’s offer of $907/mt for a 3,000 mt cargo with a February loading. The laycans for February were valued at $907/mt to reflect the current market level. The benzene market fundamentals also remained largely unchanged during a relatively quiet day.
