March 24, the Asian benzene marketplace was stable with some participants still
optimistic about demand recovery in the second quarter. FOB Korea benzene
physical markers rose to a monthly high of $945/mt March 24, an increase of
$10.67/mt. According to a trade source, some parcels were recently
purchased in East China or South China. East China's domestic market
prices seemed to be steady, despite the fact that April/May laycan spread was
now a backwardation structure. East China domestic marker rose by Yuan
7,232/mt or about $917.63/mt based on import-parity basis. This was an increase
of $9.53/mt. Sources said that East China's benzene inventory decreased
