Asian Benzene: FOB Korea up $6/mt amid plantdisruptions / Thailand's MOC & ROC declare force majeure / JG Summit closes naphtha cracker

Sources said that Asian benzene was up $6/mt on the session at $1,042.67/mt FOB Korea May 10.Downstream, the styrene CFR China marker was assessed up $7/mt on the day at $1.145/mt. In the FOB Korea market, a deal between SKGCand TotalEnergies was reached for a 3,000 mt June cargo loading at $1.049.50/mt. The floating price discussion heard that the premiums for June cargoes would remain over $20/m against the June weekly mean of base price (wMOPK), the highest bid being June wMOPk + $23/mt. CFR China offered a cargo for July arrival at a premium of $40/mt versus the July wMOPK. The CFR Taiwan premiums are expected to drop slightly compared to CPC's previous buy tender which was at June plus $32/mt. The Philippines' JG Summit closed its naphtha steamcracker...
