Benzene, Ethylbenzene remain stable / Crude futures settle lower

US Gulf Coast benzene prices remained stable for the day of April 15, despite lower crude futures prices and stable downstream spot prices. spot April DDP benzene at 402 cents/gal DDP USG and April FOB benzene at 407 cents/gal FOB USG. Prices for month 2 of May were 402 cents/gal DDP and 407 cents/gal FOB. Ethylbenzene was priced at 352 cents/gal for April DDP, and 358 cents/gal for May DDP. Month 1 and 2 prices were flat. The FOB-to-DDP premium was unchanged at 5 cents. The backwardation between months 2 and 3 remained unchanged at 1 cent. No activity was reported on the market.
