6-17 The Asian naphtha market ended the week on May 26 with one offer tender
issued as supply continued to outstrip demand amid a grim market outlook.
Market participants remained bearish on the near-term naphtha market outlook
amid prolonged weakness in downstream petrochemicals demand. A Singapore-based
trader said that the naphtha market is currently oversupplied as downstream
demand remains very sluggish with supply from India and the Middle East
continuing to hold steady. This was compounded by macroeconomic factors spurred
