Asian traders try to ship spots to the US / ICE Brent futures fall $2.74/b per day to $86.97/b

The Asian toluene price fell on April 18 as a result of the steep fall in crude oil, the upstream naphtha prices and the slower decline in the downstream benzene. There were no transparent offers or bids during the Market on Close process. Industry sources reported that traders were still moving cargoes towards the US, while Southeast Asia's end-users demand was low. A trader stated that "if anything, the buying levels are around Mean of Japan plus $200/mt, while offers are around MOPJ plus $295-285/mt FOB Korea." Sources said that toluene supplies were slow and buying levels were kept apart. Trading sources stated that Unv1 CPC would be the likely next source for supplies coming from Northeast Asia.
