Asian PVC under pressure amid China's supply / China's exports are rising despite weak domestic demand / Indian BIS certification still pending for Chinese suppliers / Thailand's AGC Vinythai will begin PVC trials in mid-2025 - Mar 07, 2025

In the week leading up to the 5th of March, Asian PVC prices were flat to weak. This was due to the fact that exports from China increased amid a decline in local demand. On March 5, FOB China PVC was $5/mt less than the previous day, at $640/mt. This is for PVC based on ethylene and $620/mt. Ex-China deals are available in Southeast Asia, India and other locations. This has pushed spot prices down by $20/mt in the past week. CFR Southeast Asia PVC prices fell by $20/mt on a weekly basis to $720/mt on March 5.
