On August 30, Asian propylene was mixed as abundant supplies pushed prices down in Southeast Asia, but tighter supplies were seen on the Chinese and South Korean market. Sources in Southeast Asia have reported that the supply is plentiful, as participants on the market were observing an increased number of sale tenders. Some market participants expected that the demand for downstream propylene would increase, which in turn would support propylene. However, these expectations did not come to fruition.
