According to traders, Chinese suppliers are focusing on domestic sales, and stocking up for the Labor Day holidays, which will take place from May 1-5. Sources said that there was also little incentive for exports because of the rising voyage rates. In Southeast Asia, prices increased by $5/mt over the week. On the back of higher crude prices and freight costs, offers in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand were stable or even increased. While upstream costs were higher, converter demand remained low over the past week.
