$40/mt less than the previous week, at $1,090/mt for CFR China, at $1,090/mt
for FOB Korea, and at $1105/mt for CFR Southeast Asia, as crude oil prices fell
during the week. This is despite reports that traders and producers are reporting
a weakening market. The
downstream demand was low, and producers of phthalic anhydride in Asia reported
that PA exports were offered at prices which domestic producers, such as those
in India, could not match. CFR Southeast
Asia PA was down $20/mt from the previous week to $1,225/mt, while CFR China
