The price of Asian MTBE recovered slightly on July 26, ending a week that was largely uninspiring. Some buyers stayed away from the market during the week due to a lack of demand. Others were searching for bargains in a falling market. The price of MTBE dropped to $813/mt from $826.50/mt a week earlier. On July 26, the Asian MTBE markets saw a price recovery as gasoline cracks improved. On July 26, the 92 RON crack increased to $8.58/b, up from $8.42/b just a day earlier.
