As the July auctions began, different trends were observed on the Asian EVA market in July regarding high-grade versus medium-grade VA materials. Solar panels are the primary end-use for high-grade Asian EVA, with a VA content between 18% and 21%. Shoe foam is the main use of medium-grade Asian EVA, with a VA content over 28 %. A trader in Asia said, "We no longer sell solar panel grade today... the prices are too low." The demand for medium-grade EVA foam shoe has been stable with a balanced market. A producer in Northeast Asia said, "We're running our EVA factories at full capacity. We can still sell 80% to shoe manufacturers and the rest is for trading." China producers who own an EVA/low density polyethylene swing factory are not encouraged...
