Asian MTBE drops $20.23/mt in a week due to crude and gasoline price declines / Gasoline cracking firms on Day / FOB China down by $25/mt in a week

Singapore Strip Mean of Platts Singapore Strip 15-40 days 92 RON MTBE fell $20.23/mt on a weekly basis to $737.53/mt on February 28. This was due to a decline in crude oil and gasoline. The cash differential, which is plus $5.05/b on a weekly basis, remained the same. On Feb. 28, the FOB mark rose $8.06/mt from day to day as crude oil futures prices and gasoline cracks firmed up from the previous day. The April ICE Brent crude futures increased 73 cents/barrel to $73.54/b in Asian trade at 830 GMT, while the spread between RON 92 and FOB Singapore gasoline widened 0.88% from day to day to $9.21/b.
