In stable discussions, the Asian caprolactam price was assessed as stable for the week ending July 4. Upstream, the benzene price fell by $6/mt in a week to $1,013.33/mt FOB Korea. Sources on the market were negative about benzene going forward as it is expected that the supply squeeze in China will ease in the next few weeks with the arrival of a vessel at the east China ports. Last assessed ammonia price at $450/mt Far East Asia, on July 3. The price discussions were stable compared to the previous week.
