new cracker by 2026

The market participants said that Asian
butadiene would remain bearish due to the limited spot demand by end-users. The end-users of in Asia purchased deepsea
products for delivery by May, which kept butadiene supply low. The price of
CFR Japan naphtha fell by $7.75/mt between April 14 and April 17, to
$684.125/mt. The spread between naphtha and butadiene was
calculated as $375.875/mt on April 17. It has narrowed in line with the falling
butadiene price but remains above the breakeven range of $300-$350/mt. The second
complex will consist of a steam-cracker with a nameplate capacity of 1.1
million mt/year ethylene, 600,000.00 mt/year propylene and 400,000.00
mt/year mixed C4.
