Asian ACN hits lowest since Dec 2024 / Asian ACN margin remains negative

The price of Asian acrylonitrile fell by $10 to $20/mt over the week ending March 18, due to abundant supplies from China, and a weaker market for propylene. CFR Far East Asia ACN prices were $10/mt less week-over-week at $1.250/mt in March 18. This was the lowest price since December 17, 2024 when it was valued at $1.235/mt. CFR Southeast Asia ACN was priced $20/mt less at $1240/mt in the same time period. This is the lowest price since Dec. 3, 20,24 when it was valued at $1230/mt. Some trading sources reported that ex-China offers had been heard at $1.060-$1,080/mt, which was lower than the $1.100/mt FOB China offered in the previous weeks.
