Asian ABS: Weakening on lower upstream price, no trades were heard / China ABS operating rate increases to 60% / Upstream styrene Monomer Price Falls $60/mt in a Week

The Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia markers at $1,445/mt and $1,465/ mt, both down $10/mt on the week on Sept. 11. The offers were reported to be stable or lower due to the weakening of upstream monomer styrene prices and persistently low demand in the area. There are currently no new prices, as October quotations have yet to begin. A market source stated that market prices were falling. The source said that there haven't been any trades in recent weeks because the demand has been too low. All prices of ABS downstream products changed during the past week.
