The spot price for LDPE grade-A bales used after use fell in the week ending September 4, due to a weakening of demand. According to market sources, the demand for LDPE in the US is low due to a weakening US economy and low consumer trust. Booking complications and high freight costs resulting from the Red Sea Crisis are also complicating efforts in Asia to meet the demand, which is already very sensitive.
