US acrylic monomers: Spot price remains stable despite increased BA exports into LatAm / Acrylates exports in Latam are higher / OQ's Bay City Site receives ISCC Certification

The exports of GAA to the US slowed down in May, due to weak demand, according to a distributor. Exports of butyl and 2-ethylhexyl acrylicate to Latin America are on the rise. According to Commodity Insights' data, about 20,000 mt BA was exported to Mexico on 29 May, while 6,800 mt left port from the US Gulf Coast. An additional 2,000mt of 2-EHAwas shipped to Colombia on 31 May. US spot butylacrylate is 90 cents/lbDDP USEast Coast. This price has remained stable since June 11. According to a distributor the pricing for 2-EHA is usually 6-8 cents higher than that of BA. The primary application for 2-EHA, however, are pressure-sensitive adhesives. US spot 2-ethylhexylacrylate is 96 cents/lbDDP US East Coast. This price has remained stable since June 11.
