- Asia naphtha and butadiene spreads at 2-month low- China's butadiene inventories at 30,000 mt

Despite the bull-run in upstream markets,
Asian butadiene was unchanged on April 4. June ICE Brent futures increased $1.32/barrel on the day to
$85.52/b April 4, This trend was tracked
by the CFR Japan naphtha prices rising $8.75/mt on day to $689.875/mtApril 4. According to data, the spread in price between naphtha and
butadiene reached a new two-month low at $410.125/mt on April 4. As the downstream market outlook for synthetic rubber was
still bearish, spot butadiene demand did not rise due to a strong upstream
market. According to market sources,
Chinese suppliers are keen to export despite ample supplies. According to market sources, the current butadiene inventory
in China was reported at approximately 30,000 mt.
