Asia LLDPE stable amid thin trade / ICE Brent drops 15 cents/b in a single day / Slow trading due regional holidays - Sep 23, 2024

Due to a slow trade due to a regional holiday, the Asian market for linear low density polyethylene was stable during the week ending September 18. The week was characterized by slow trading as the key players in China and Taiwan had just returned from the Mid-Autumn Festival. Makret participants are in South Korea on holidays from Sept. 16-18 because of the Chuseok Festival. Asian butene grade linear low density polyethylene was stable for the week on September 18 at $925/mt CFA Far East Asia. The ICE Brent crude oil futures for November fell 15 cents/b but increased $2.43/b over the past week to $72.92/b by the Asian close on Sept. 18.
