prices were mixed. This was despite China's announcement of a target for 5%
growth in gross domestic product by 2023. Some traders felt this was too
low and didn't bode well for the demand. India saw some excess supply as
traders offered more cargoes to the market to make the year end cash-rich,
which pushed down prices. Saudi Arabia's Sharq (or Eastern Petrochemical
Company) restarted its 400,000-mt/year linear high density polyethylene line in
Al Jubail last Wednesday and is currently increasing operating rates, a source
told March 8. It is one Sharq's three LLDPE plants, which have a combined
capacity 1.15...
