The European market for low density polyethylene continued to see a tight supply in the week ending June 19, due to continued low production at home and limited imports into Europe. MFI 0.3 is a very tight grade due to low domestic production and less imports. A producer stated that they can now sell to Turkey which will increase domestic spot prices. This was attributed to a change in supply dynamics, rather than a change in demand. Spot prices for LDPE grades started to rise in the last week due to supply constraints.
