drop in demand on June 7 following the dramatic fall in demand the previous
day. The sellers
were unwilling to match the levels set by buyers, due to weak SM demand. This
prompted a bid activity on June 7. A
trader reported that some incremental buying was seen at low levels. However,
it was not clear if the levels were likely to be repeated. The five-to-30 days' forward loading laycan was $909.75/mt,
FOB ARA. This is up $1.25/mt from the previous day. The upstream benzene markets were quiet, but the spread
between buyers and sellers was increasing. On the day, the styrene over benzene premium was $11.75/mt. The European MTBE FOB ARA was $1,041.25/mt...
