Asian butadiene remained stable Feb. 24, as
buyers were holding back from import procurements given the weak downstream
fundamentals. The price gap between the sellers and buyers was reported wide,
as sellers were looking to offload their cargoes at $1,300/mt CFR China level
while buyers were willing to only pay $1,150/mt at most. In the CFR Unv1
market, a selling indication were heard at $1,300/mt CFR Unv1, but a buying
indication was at a far away $1,180/mt CFR Unv1. "The downstream market is
not doing well, we are making losses, so the buying interest is low," a
major acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene producer in Unv1 said. Other buyers in
