Upstream naphtha increases $14/mt in one day/ Corp. June Contract Price Sets at $1.095/mt

The Asian benzene price rose by $12/mt to $1,083.33/mt on May 28 due to a tight supply and higher upstream costs. In recent days, the styrene monmer downstream has been strong. A market source said that benzene fundamentals, like tight supply and market optimism, also appear to be supporting the prices. The macro-economy saw crude oil futures marginally higher at mid-afternoon Asian trading on May 28 as China announced new measures to boost demand in the critical real estate industry. The day saw an increase in upstream markets, with the front-month ICE Brent futures trading at $83.39/b. This is $1.14/b more than the previous session. The C+F Japan mark, which is the benchmark for Naphtha in Japan, was up $14/mt to $689.50/mt. In the day, the benzene/naphtha differential was $393.83/mt....
