Sources said that the European naphtha
markets started this week with a soft note after a recent period where they had
been strengthening. The spread between June and July
fell by $1-2/mt. It is now $8-9/mt. This indicates less pressure. One source
stated that the market is "tight, but not as much demand, and still driven
by blending." In June, the US could overtake the Mediterranean
region as Europe's main supplier, a trend that was already observed in May due
to maintenance at refineries like La Skikda. According
to Kpler's shipping data, the forecast for Europe's imports of US Gulf Coast
crude oil in June is 288,000 mt. This will be the highest total monthly since
