Producers announce contract price reductions of Eur5-10/mt / No deals heard

In the week leading up to Friday, June 5, the European polystyrene markets remained relatively quiet. Most participants were negotiating June contract prices. On June 4, PS producers announced reductions. Trinseo announced a decrease of Eur5/mt, while INEOS announced a decrease of Eur10/mt for the month. The announcements were made following the June contract price settlement for styrene, which was set at Eur 1,680/mt. This is a decrease of Eur 30/mt from the previous month.
