- Mid-March, plasticizer pricing was
discussed at close to 100 cents/lb- OQ Chemicals raises the price of butanol
for the fourth time in this year



Spot export and domestic prices
for normal butanol, 2-ethylhexanol, and domestic plasticizer prices held steady
over the week. This was due to a healthy buying market and a low appetite. Domestic contracts for NBA
or 2-EH were stable. No new export indications for either product were made
between March 10-16. Prices for NBA have
remained steady since January 1, while prices for 2-EH have been flat since
February 12. On a delivered basis, price
indications for domestic dioctyl-terephthalate as well as diisononylphthalate
were at around 100 cents/lb. A source
