MTBE price drops by $1.50/mt the next day / One trade seen during MOC

The European MTBE outright price fell by $1.50/mt in one day to $1,036.50/mt, FOB ARA, May 2. This marks a decline of $173/mt from April 12 when the downward trend began, due to weaker gasoline prices. On May 2, the MTBE Premium to the Eurobob front-month swap increased by $8.50/mt and reached $171.50/mt. This was the first increase since the 8th of April. One deal was made during the Market on Close process. Finco sold 1,000 mt of crude oil to BP for $1,034/mt during the mid-window loading. The difference of 25 cents in crude oil price between the time the trade took place at 16:23:30 and the close of the market was taken into account.
