Bid, Offer Indications Seen During MOC / MTBE outright price drops $5.25/mt on day

The European MTBE outright price decreased on May 29 by $5.25/mt to $1,003.75/mt FOM ARA. This is below the outstanding offer made during the Market on Close assessment. BP offered 1,004 mt of gasoline at $1,004/mt to load mid-window, proving that the Eurobob June gasoline exchange premium set in an earlier trade was not valid. At 16:19 UK time, BP sold 1,000 mt of gasoline to Lyondell for $1,006/mt at mid-window load at 16:19 UK time. Five deals were made during the MOC. The MTBE Premium to the Eurobob front-month swap increased by $4.25/mt. This was due to a weaker upstream and outright MTBE prices.
