- Producers offer at Eur65-75/mt over April- Styrene May contract price heard at Eur1,511-1,542/mt



Polystyrene producers indicated they were
chasing price increases beyond that of the feedstock styrene in the week leading
to May 3. Producer Styrolution published a Eur65/mt increase to GPPS and HIPS
offers to customers on their website for May, while Trinseo indicated a Eur75-76/mt
increase in a letter to customers. This was beyond the increase seen in the
upstream styrene monomer contract price. Sources in the market said this was settled at Eur1,511/mt
by participants, up Eur55/mt on the month. No fresh spot activity was heard, with a distributor
indicating that European material
was available at Eur1,650-1,680/mt. This
