ACETONE/PHENOL - The FD Northwest Europe
acetone price fell Eur75/mt to Eur900/mt during the week ending June 13. This
was in line with a traders' indication at Eur900/mt. It was also below another
trader’s indication at Eur950/mt and above an indicative range of Eur820-900/mt
FD NWE. Acetone supply remained healthy on
the market and was unchanged from last week. Participants
were talking about sending material to the US to try to balance the market. Acetone
producers have been heard operating at lower rates. However, "it's too
high compared to actual demand", a trader stated. The trader
said that "they will decrease their operating rate again at the end of
July." A producer gave an indication of Eur950/mt for
