On June 8, the European methanol prices
were rangebound due to a slow trading day. On June 8, the FOB Rotterdam 5-to-30-day methanol price was
Eur254/mt, up Eur0.25/mt from day to day. The
previous session, June 7, saw prices drop by Eur2.25/mt. On June 8, a new deal was announced for the H2 June to H1
Jul loading at Eur254-261/mt. According to
sources, this was the most recent offer heard on June 7. A trader stated that it felt like the market was slowing
even more if only one deal per day. The
European methanol markets remained well supplied despite a drastic reduction in
domestic production. The Asian methanol
