US benzene fell for the third day in a row
on June 1. At least one source said that poor demand kept him from trading. US benzene prices for June were reported to be
settled at 355 Cents/gal. This is down 36 Cents from the May contract. The June DDP
was 337 cents/gal - 4 cents less than the previous day. The June FOB
price also fell by 4 cents to 447 cents/gal. The spot
price of styrene remains higher than the prompt DDP price at $1,009-1,029/mt. The low
production rate of downstream styrene may be contributing to the weak demand
