Sources say that MTBE FOB Singapore was up
$20/mt per day, or $1,000/mt on May 24, amid active market activity and firm
demand. During
the Market on Close process on May 24, PTT sold 2,000 mt of loading between
June 8-12, to Aramco for $1,000/mt. The MTBE Factor was also stable at 1.321. A trader reported that the arbitrage window in China opened
this week. Trades were heard at $900-910/mt FOB Shandong, for 30,000mt of
loading in June. FOB South China, trades were heard at $950/mt, for 5,000mt of
loading in June. A Chinese producer
reported that North Chinese prices rose around Yuan 100/mt per day, at Yuan
