Asian MTBE was $10.50/mt
lower than March 24, at $968/mt FOB Singapore, March 27, due to a slight drop
in crude oil. At 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), March 27, the front month ICE Brent
crude oil futures were at $75.59/mt, 4 cents/b less than March 24. Sources said that MTBE demand is still strong in Asia. April inventory
levels may be low in Singapore, and there were several inquiries for Chinese
exports. For mid-April loading, offers were received at $945/mt FOB South China at
5,000 mt and $940-$950/mt for North China at May loading. Chinese market participants reported that South China's April MTBE exports
were short. Many were traded in the past...
