North Africa has a healthy raffia market- PP fiber declines $10/mt on week- Netbacks increase for Middle East exportersAs supply exceeded demand, the Turkish
polypropylene market suffered further losses over the week ending March 22. CFR Turkey PP Fiber spot
price at $1.140/mt March 22, a $10/mt decrease on the previous week. The market was affected by a lackluster demand as buyers did
not show much interest in spot material. Although
sellers were able to adjust their prices lower in order to attract buyers,
sources indicated that trading activity was still quiet even at lower prices. Some sellers switched to Europe, Asia, and Africa as they
were more in demand. A producer stated
