In the week ending July 3, African polypropylene market remained stable as participants awaited announcements of all new offers for July amid weak downstream demand. CFR West Africa PP raffia Spot Price at $1,155/mt is unchanged from the previous week. The fundamentals of the market remained unchanged, and a sluggish trend in demand persisted in the first few days of July. Sources said that some Middle Eastern producers increased their prices for July loading due to higher freight costs. However, no agreements had been made. Saudi Aramco's feedstock propane contracts for July were set at $580/mt. This is unchanged from the previous month. Gas shortages in Egypt continue to be a problem for the petrochemical sector.
