The African polypropylene market remained unchanged during the week ending June 19, as many participants in North Africa and West Africa were on holidays. CFR North Africa PP raffia Spot Price remained unchanged at $1,160/mt for the past week. Trading activity was low and there were no new offers from the Middle East. A converter stated that the market was unchanged because things were unclear due to the holidays. Participants kept a close watch on freight markets, as container shipping prices increased in June. Commodity Insights' data shows that CFR North Africa PP raffia has gained $50/mt from the end of May.
