The African polypropylene markets were slow in the week toJune 26 as participants were returning from the Eid holidays. the CFR North Africa PP raffia spot priceunchanged on the week at $1,160/mt.There were few bids and offers in the North African markets,with market participants in a wait-and-see mode as fresh offerswere expected at the start of the new month. Prices held steadydue to low liquidity.Producers in Saudi Arabia were closely monitoring freightrates as they strengthened in June, resulting in higher CFR pricesat destinations with longer lead times. Some producers in SaudiArabia were transporting material from Al Jubail to Jeddah portsto reduce lead times, typically from several months to a fewweeks, however the costs were at least $40-$50/mt higher.
