The price of Acrylonitrile in South Asia increased in the week ending Oct. 22, amid greater discussions and concerns about the upcoming implementation of Bureau of Indian Standards Certifications. The sources said that the increase in prices was mainly caused by supply concerns due to ongoing maintenance at plants in China, and partly due to the uncertainty surrounding future material availability with BIS certifications scheduled for October 24. Most sellers have shared their higher offers and ideas for selling at $1,230-$1,280/mt. One trader stated that the trading range is between $1,225 and $1230/mt.
